The basic conditions that should be available for feeding cows

With the booming development of dairy farming, modern and large-scale dairy farms are being built all over the country. In order to obtain high economic benefits in the dairy farming process, the following four basic conditions should be in place:

1. There are independent dairy farming area
Dairy farm area generally includes four functional areas, namely, living areas, breeding production areas, management areas and manure and urine sewage treatment, sick animals management area. The specific layout should follow the following principles: living area and breeding production area to be separated, living area should be in the cattle farm upwind and higher terrain, and maintain a distance of 100 meters from the production area, to ensure a good living area health environment. Breeding production area should be located in the lower terrain of the field, to be able to control the entry of people and vehicles outside the field. The entrance to the establishment of gatekeeper communication room, disinfection room, locker room and vehicle disinfection pool, non-production personnel are strictly prohibited to enter and exit the field, access to personnel and vehicles must be strictly disinfected by the disinfection room or disinfection pool. Management area and production area should be strictly separated to ensure more than 50 meters distance, outsiders can only be in the management area activities. Manure and urine sewage treatment, sick animals management area is located in the production area downwind, low terrain, and production area to maintain a distance of about 300 meters, should be easy to isolate, separate channel, easy to disinfect, easy to dispose of dirt, etc.

2. Reasonable herd structure
Herd structure directly affects the economic efficiency of the cattle farm, in order to maintain stable and high yielding cows, the herd should be updated year by year, always maintain a reasonable structure. In general, adult females account for 53%, mature cows account for 32% and mother-calf cows account for 15%; in terms of quality structure, high-yielding cows should account for more than 30% of the herd and general production cows account for about 60%, and old, weak, sick and disabled cows should be eliminated in a timely manner and healthy, high-yielding cows should be selected and retained in a planned manner to ensure a reasonable herd structure.

3. have sufficient quality feed
The higher the milk production, the more feeds are taken every day, and the quality of the feeds should be good. In order to maintain a certain amount of milk production, a certain amount of concentrate feed is also needed, generally 6000-7000 kg of annual milk production of cows, about 2000 kg of concentrate feed per year. Due to the large volume of feed, in order to save transportation costs, it is best to take local materials. For this reason, to understand the local or nearby can plant grass and green-fed corn, there is no crop straw can be used, there is no grain or other crop processing by-products (such as bran, corn husk, soybean bark, soybean cake, cotton seed cake, rapeseed cake) can be used.
